Ms. Asmaa El Gammal obtained her MSc. in Population and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2011 and her B.A. in Political Science and Journalism and Mass Communication from the American University in Cairo in 2009. She began her career as a journalist, writing for the Daily News Egypt, and then joined SocialEyez, a social media analytics company with offices in Dubai, Amman and Cairo, as a senior analyst in the company’s political research and analysis unit. In early 2013, she joined Misr El Kheir Foundation as an International Cooperation Officer, responsible for facilitating the transfer of knowledge from the Egyptian Diaspora community in the USA as well as cooperation between Misr El Kheir Foundation and other interested international partners and organizations. Her passion for education and scientific research policy inspired her to join ECASTI in early 2014 as the Strategies and Policies Committee Officer.
