Dr. Mohamed Allam obtained his Ph.D. and MSc. in Water Planning and Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1982,1980), and his BSc. in Civil Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University (1975). He has consultancy experience in several Arab and African countries, as well as with a number of international agencies such as USAID, the World Bank, the UNDP, DAAD, and UNESCO. He also served as an advisor to the Minister of Water Resources in Oman between 1992-1995 and as the Egyptian Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation between 2009-2011. Dr. Allam is currently a Professor of Water Resources Engineering at Cairo University.
