The GESR Social Innovation Cluster is holding a Social Innovation Summit on October 20-21 in order to bring together individuals and organizations driving innovation for social impact. This two-day event will feature guest speakers, hands-on workshops, and panel discussions focused on the creation of sustainable value for under-served populations.
ECASTI is one of seven founding partners of the GESR Social Innovation Cluster, an EU-funded project that aims to empower the bottom of the pyramid (BOP) through social innovation and entrepreneurship.
The theme for this year’s Summit is “Technology for Impact,” or how to harness the power of technology to disrupt outmoded, ineffective approaches and create a positive force for change. The Summit will address topics such as social impact measurement, lean product development, design for affordability, effectuation, social scale-up strategy, and other topics of importance to social innovators, CSR practitioners, impact investors, and development organizations.
In addition to building capacities to engage in impact-driven innovation, the Social Innovation Summit aims to spread awareness about social innovation and impact investment, showcase best practices and success stories, and bring together a community of socially responsible students, organizations, and professionals.
Registration for the Social Innovation Summit and the schedule of speakers are now available at www.gesrsummit.com.
